24 hrs is way too short!
Just recently my life has got so intense both studywise and activitywise...
First of all, I should talk about my academic life
I am takin four corses, and basically its impossible to finish all
work if I sleep normally. Monday, I must almost stay up. ending up in
the same thing on Tuesday as well. The worstly, I take courses nonstop
upto late at night on WEDNES DAY.. Oh my gsh, altho all courses are
pretty interesting, 24 hours a day is way too short.
Even coworkers and friends are worryin about me when they see my
wicked tired face.. My life is really fulfilled, but I just wish one
day could have more than 24 hours.
Besides that, I m getting more into linguistics now, especially
Phonology. I feel a lot of possibility in that subject especially when
it comes to English teaching that is my concentration. Viva la
Phonology! Very weirdly, in Japan, I can say that phonological
approach to English teaching has been ignored completely. Correct
pronunciation is considered to be acquired only through your
intuition!! No teachers can teach English phonologically
(phonetically),,,, My topic for phonology final paper is gonna be
about Japanese L2 English learners transfer caused by indigenous
phonological change in Japanese. That will be such a good start for me
to think of the potential of that phonology suggestion on TESOL in Japan..
I need more time to go deeper level of linguistics, and thats must for
me to apply for next school. I love teaching classes, which keep me
paid by school, so I think I m now on right track where I study with
payment. being independent.....this is ideal, isnt ?
I m finally done with decision about what I should do in my
future....Study Linguistics, and ideally...being professor..
Social life in the USA has been very active so far too. FIrst of all,
I have thrwon Friday dinner gathering almost everyweek, inviting my
frinends coming over and share our cook. This is what I like the most!
Everybody can have good talk without being interrupted by alcoholol or
loud music, and each week a lot of ppl have come around. I m now
feeling that Syracuse is my second home. All my friends are awesome,
and I love to hang out with them.
Recently I just have been to many crazy places with Phonology
professor, including weird church, extremely arty music bar and so on.
He is the ideal professor I have ever seen coz he has muti-dimentional
phases in his life. Not only is he a great phonologist, but also he
has been involved too many activities in his life,,,airforce, medicine
doctor, carzy spiritual priest, PHD for linguitics,,,now professor!
I have experienced soo much this semester, and tomorrow I will have a
huge event,,,,,,Linguistic Lunch Party!!!! I have invited almost all
students in our Linguistic department, so I m pretty sure that
tomorrow will be very important. In addition to friends I have made
outside of linguistic department, I am trying now to make new social
circle which is LINGUISTIC DEPARTMENT!
Life is getting more and more intense, and I am very satisfied with
all things going on, except that one day has only 24 hourse, which is
way too short for me to finish all things I should do...lol
Last but not least, I sincerely want to say thanx to all my awesome
friends keepin my life all the time very fruitful,
Okay I upload some pics about tomorrow, and I cant wait to tell details...
